Vincent Maria Strambi (1745–1824)
Bishop
Italian Passionist, preacher and bishop of Macerata and Tolentino, Vincent Maria Strambi was a disciple and biographer of Saint Paul of the Cross.
Biography
As a pastor he personally took care of the training of the clergy, organized catechism and promoted works for orphans, the elderly and poor families. For refusing to swear allegiance to Napoleon he suffered exile, but returned to his diocese without resentment. In his last years he served as an advisor to Pope Leo XII. His life showed a concrete charity sustained by the contemplation of the Passion of Christ.
Practical advice
Reserve an amount of time or money today for someone else's need and consider yourself administrator, not owner, of what God entrusts to you.
