Practical advice
Do well today a service task that you normally perform quickly, taking care of both the result and its recipients.
Biography
Parish priest of Torre del Greco and apostle to workers and fishermen, Vicente Romano sanctified an entire city through tireless pastoral care. Ordained in 1775, he taught poor children free of charge, catechized in the countryside and spiritually accompanied various communities. After the eruption of Vesuvius in 1794, he organized help for the victims and the reconstruction of the parish church. As a parish priest he walked the streets and workshops to bring the Gospel to those who could not go to the temple. Its motto, "doing good well," summed up an organized, persevering charity without improvisation.
