Vicente Vilar David (1889–1937)

Engineer, businessman, husband and Spanish catechist, Vicente Vilar David ran the family factory with justice and fraternal treatment towards the workers.
Biography
During religious persecution he protected priests and nuns and publicly maintained his faith. He was arrested and shot on February 14, 1937; Before dying he forgave his executioners and encouraged his wife. His martyrdom confirms that professional work, marriage and business responsibility are paths to holiness when lived with charity, justice and Christian courage.
