Martyr
Wenceslas, Duke of Bohemia, was not yet 30 years old when he was assassinated by his brother to take over the government.
Biography
In the midst of a court of barbaric customs, he was distinguished by his austerity and his great love for the poor and the Virgin Mary. His tomb, in Prague, soon became a center of pilgrimages. Let us pray for the rulers.

Trusting in God's grace, fulfill a costly duty without giving in to fear and start again with humility if it doesn't go well.
