Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Practical advice
With the desire to sanctify ordinary life, renew your trust that Mary always leads us to Jesus, remembering that holiness is built in ordinary life.
Biography
The Immaculate Conception means that Mary, from the first moment of her existence, was preserved by God’s grace from original sin in view of the merits of Jesus Christ. This privilege does not place her outside salvation; it shows the perfect power of Christ’s saving work in her. Full of grace, Mary freely cooperated with God throughout her life. The solemnity celebrates God’s initiative, the beauty of holiness, and the vocation of the Church to become holy and without blemish in Christ.
