Biografia

Born into a wealthy family and orphaned by her mother at the age of thirteen, she soon began teaching catechism and helping families in need. In 1845 she gathered five companions; An epidemic of cholera and smallpox immediately gave them the opportunity to care for abandoned patients. He organized the new community according to Franciscan poverty and charity.
