Fulgencio de Ruspe

(468-533) Originally from Carthage, Africa, he was appointed general treasurer of that province for his qualities as an administrator.
Biography
However, Fulgencio decided to leave the world and dedicate himself to serving God as a monk. He was named Bishop of Ruspe, in Tunisia, but he always continued to dress like a humble monk and perform great mortifications. Fulgencio had the gift of oratory and his sermons moved the entire city, but it was more moved by his great kindness and humility.
